Mumbai Weather Update and Monsoon Progress: June 26, 2024

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has released its latest Mumbai weather update, forecasting a partly cloudy sky with light to moderate rainfall. Expect the maximum temperature to reach 34°C and the minimum to dip to 26°C.

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai will experience a high tide of approximately 4.48 meters at 3:19 pm today, followed by a low tide of about 1.59 meters at 9:29 pm.

Recent rainfall data shows that the island city received 9.41 mm, eastern Mumbai 12.85 mm, and western Mumbai 9.68 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon has progressed into various parts of Gujarat, bringing significant rainfall. Visavadar taluka in Junagadh district recorded 109 mm of rainfall within 12 hours. In response to forecasts of heavy rainfall, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed seven teams in vulnerable districts.

The IMD expects the monsoon to advance further into the north Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and southeastern Rajasthan in the coming days. Stay updated for further monsoon progress in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and other regions over the next 3-4 days.
